Swimming Pools

Heritage has the following swim facilities:

  • Six-lane, 25-yard main pool (up to 7' depth)
  • Shallow area for kids connected to the main pool (3' depth)
  • Dive well with diving board (10' depth)
  • Wading pool in separate area for babies and toddlers (18" depth)
Summer Pool Hours

Swim is open for children from :00 to :45 of each hour, and limited to adults 16 and over from :45 to :00 of each hour.  The pool hours begin after Concord Public Schools are out for the summer.

Swimming Pool Rules
  1. Heritage follows all Massachusetts State regulated Health and Safety rules posted at the club.

  2. Swimmers must pass a deep water test to swim past the 3 1/2' mark.

  3. Children must be 3 yrs old and fully toilet trained to enter the main pool. No swim diapers allowed.

  4. No person shall enter the pool unless a staff lifeguard is in the chair.
  5. No one having any skin infections or communicable illness shall use the pool. All bathers must shower before entering the pool. Showers are located in each bathroom as well as behind the pump-house near the volleyball court.
  6. Bathing suits only are allowed in the pool. No cutoff jeans, tennis or other shorts allowed.
  7. Glassware is prohibited on the pool deck including under the pavilion.
  8. Floating aids, balls, skin-diving equipment (masks, snorkels, fins, etc.), and water-spraying devices may not be used except as part of a Heritage swimming class or with permission of an on-duty lifeguard. Masks with glass face plates are prohibited.
  9. Running, playing tag, wrestling, unnecessary splashing, pushing, pulling, water-fighting, snapping towels, and other horseplay are prohibited.
  10. Diving is permitted only in designated areas.
  11. Adult swim takes place from quarter til until the top of each hour while the pool is open.  Anyone over the age of 16 may remain in the pool during this period. 
The lifeguard or person in charge may clear the pool of swimmers whenever necessary.
